12/28/2023 0 Comments Sync downloads folder to icloud![]() No idea why the first one disappeared from Classic.maybe it hadn't been downloaded, or maybe it was in a synced collection so disappeared from there. Instead it is "unsynced" so it will disappear from the All Synced Photographs special collection AND from any synced collection that it might have been it (it can't stay in a synced collection if it has been unsynced). But although it's deleted from the cloud, it is NOT deleted from Classic. Once they have synced to the cloud and definitely have made it down into Classic, deleting the photo from any of the client accounts will remove the image from the cloud (it goes into a deleted album, where it will stay for up to 60 days to give you time to reconsider and restore it if needed). From there they become available to all the other clients and also, if you have enabled sync, to LrClassic (where they automatically download as a full copy of the original, which LrClassic now regards as the master). Images uploaded from any of the Lightroom client apps (desktop, mobile, web) go to your cloud account on the Adobe servers in their original form, and where the Lightroom system regards them as the master copy. Understand that photos do not sync directly from, say, your phone to Classic on your Mac. I did put in a bug report about that, but I don't know if it has been actioned. The only thing I'd be concerned about is that the last time I tested that auto relocation I found the moved images were all put into a single folder rather than the dated sub-folders that I had expected. Obviously, I wouldn't have bothered doing those copies, I'd just have set a new location in Preferences and let LrC move the data automatically. Having copied it to OneDrive and external drive, I'm not sure what's best to suggest about those, as I don't know if complications might arise through deleting the current folder and trying to relink to another, given the special nature of that folder. If you change it to a different location using that preferences tab (I'd also suggest you set one of the dated sub-folder schemes for all subsequent sync downloads), LrC should ask if you want to move the images from the default location to the new location, which I suggest you should allow. Mobile Downloads.lrdata is the default location for all images synced from the cloud, and it can be changed on the LrC Preferences>Lightroom Sync tab.
